Office won't open documents...

I was having probs w/ my internet last week, and I had to
restore my operating system (Win XP). Now Office is
giving me lots of problems. I can't open ANY documents in
any of the programs, and I can't even open Word. I've
tried repairing Office, I've even uninstalled and
installed Office from scratch, and it still won't work.
It's asked to start Word in Safe Mode, but that hasn't
helped any. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to
get Office to work?

Office XP Professional
