Office XP and Windows XP

M

Mark Rooney

Hi

I am opening an internet cafe type of business that will
have Windows XP Home and Office XP on them. There will be
about 5 PCs in total.

What I need to know or be pointed in the right direction
is:

1) Do I need a license for each PC or can I use the same
on for them all?

2) Do I need separate discs for each PC or not?

3) I have been looking at Ebay and notice people selling
the software on here, can I use ths for my business?

4) Can I make copies of the software for business
requirements only? i.e. in case I lose the software or
its stolen.

Thnx in advance.

Each PC will need its own Windows and Office license. You can look into
volume licensing which starts at 5 licenses (perfect for you) and you can
mix the license types (3 Windows, 2 Office, etc). I would check with your
local Microsoft reseller to see what is possible for your business.

As for eBay, please remember - any deal that sounds too good to be true,
probably is not a good deal at all. Pirates and bogus copies (already
activated) abound on auction sites - caveat emptor.
