office xp converting word 6.0 documents

Pease help I am so lost. I have several templates from my work computer (UGH
ancient) that I want to convert to My home computers Office xp. The Office
computer runs the old word 6.0. Can anyone help me??

Assuming you've saved docs to hd, from Word File/Open browse to location.
Where the field 'doc type' is you may have to scroll down for word6.
If you get any msg regarding missing/not installed converters you simply
follow on screen prompts to install from your officexp cd
