Office XP Personal Subscription install turnining into nightmare

I installed this Professional Subscription onto my
computer and now my computer is barely running. I
downloaded the XP SP2 patch and it tells me it isn't for
this program. The programs just lock up when I try to use
them. I can barely use my computer. HELP!!! Please
