After installing Office XP SP3 on numerous Win98SE
computers we have found that the "Open Office Document"
and "New Office Document" options no longer work for Word
and Excel. Attempting to create or open a word or excel
file through the start menu does nothing, but the
task "OSA" stops not responding in task manager.
Opening word and excel through the programs menu or
desktop shorcuts works fine. I have found posts on other
webistes that indicate many people are having this
problem, but no solutions are offered, and
uninstalling/reinstalling or repairing the install does
not seem to fix the issue.
Any help you could provide would be great.
