Office XP Word Documents being saved to an NT Server

I am having a problem with saving Office XP Word documents
to a folder on my Win NT server. Whenever I do this and
then reopen the file to edit it and then save changes I
get a "File Permission Error". I am also unable to delete
the file from my WinNT folder. This seems to happen only
when I work on a document using Office XP. Office 2000
works fine.
