office xp

I have a copy of office xp that i would like to install on a computer that
already has word 2000 and outlook express on it , and they are both used
everyday , i was wondering if anyone could tell me what would happen to
word 2000 and outlook express once i have installed office xp , not being to
techie it frightens me a bit as i don't want to loose the use of the
programs .

Don't worry, Outlook 2000 will be replaced by Outlook 2002 and no other actions should appear.

Hi:

If you meant Outlook Express, it is part of OS and not part of Office. So
installing or removing Office will not affect in any ways about your Outlook
Express. If you mean Outlook, it will be replaced by Outlook XP as
mentioned. One suggestion, save all emails and personal data and personal
folder file before doing the upgrade - just precaution.

Also, I would recommend you to uninstall Word 2000 or previous Office before
installing the new one.

Although upgrade should have no problems at all, but sometime - just
sometime, things will go wrong. So for best practice - uninstall the old
one and install the new one.
