OL2002 email account errors

I am unable to set my default account. Outlook is
deciding which one to use. Also, if I attempt to change
the account from which I'm sending mail, I get a MS Word
error sayings "unable to complete operation. Outlook has
performed a fatal error." I thought this was fixed with
with a reinstall of Office, but it's back. Any ideas?
