OL2002 Not Showing Unread Mail

Using OL2002. In the shortcut bar, the shortcuts don't show the amount of
unread mail in each particular folder. This is on my laptop. On my desktop,
they show fine, so I'm assuming there's a setting on my laptop that is not
set correctly?
