OLE object - bitmap representation?

D

David Thielen

Hi;

When there is an OLE object in a Word file (rtf or xml), does that object
include a bitmap picture of the OLE object to display if the program that
understands the ole object is not on someone's computer?

And if so, is how to get that image documented? And if so, where?

Hi

I think in OLE, what the OLE Object will look like is controled by the OLE
Server, not the client which host the ole object. The OLE Server control
how to display the OLE Object, so that once the OLE Object's data is
changed it will be updated by the OLE Server.

For detailed information about OLE issue, I think you need to post in the
OLE newsgroup.

Thanks!
