OLK 2000 accounts reset when first run Office XP applications

We are installing Outlook 2000 and Office XP (less
Outlook) on our XP computers. SOme staff have reported
that their account settings in Outlook 2000 are reset to
the installation defaults when they first run an Office XP
application. So it seems that OXP installer is treading on
OLK2000.

We are using a workaround which is to make sure to run an
OXP app before setting up the account in Outlook.

Any ideas how to prevent this from happening?

The primary reason is we are using a feature of OLK2000
for our shared calendars (IMO) that is removed in OLK2002
(net folders, I think). If we go to OXP completely we
break our shared calendars.

Can you help me solve my problem?

I'm curious as to why you're using a mixed suite of applications and not all
office xp?
