OneNote text box vanishes in Tablet mode

hello OneNoters:

I posted this in the XP Tablet forum where I see that Josh Einstein is
active as an MVP as well. So, this may be a noob question for both OS and
software.

I have a Lenovo x60T/ XP (current) running office 07

the keyboard to enter text, OneNote creates a box which expands as I type-
which I assume is normal behavior. I can then grab and shape that bos with
either pen or mouse... good so far.

When I shift to tablet mode, that box outline disappears every time I get
near it with the pen. Similarly, if I use the handwriting program to enter
text, it will insert the text into a VERY narrow box- and again if I go near
it with the pen to shape the box and make room for more text- it vanishes. I
have not found any way to get it to show up. I have looked for tablet or pen
specific settings for OneNote but found none in the options area. I am
guessing that i will be very embarrassed when the answer can or does include
RTFM, but I have not found anything useful in the help files.

Given that I take notes real time when I am with clients, this is
distracting, disruptive and frustrating. Any help will be very much
appreciated.

Thanks

OneNote hides the note containers when dealing with pen input to reduce
screen clutter. This is because in some cases a large number of note
containers can be generated with the pen, making the page very hard to
read. If you have some handwritten notes in a single container, you can
still resize it using the mouse, though. You can also resize the note
containers using the pen, if you switch OneNote back into text mode
(activate the Type/Selection tool from the Tools->Writing Tools menu).

Zdrazvuite i spasibo Ilya-

Ok- you are probably ot Russian and i am definitley not Napoleon solo, but
thakn you for your reply. going to text mode did it. It was simple and it
is funny that 20 minutes of searching did not turn that up on MSFT help. It
is a small thing but makes the difference between the software being REALLY
useful and completely useless.

Thanks1
