only one page documents!?

Every time I open up a new word document recently, it will only let me type one page. I cannot type any more

Help please

The first thing i noticed that went wrong was that i was working on a document about 10 pages long and at the bottom it said I was on page 1/2. I knew I had more than 2 pages.

Make sure you're not typing in a text box or wrapped table.
