Open 2 instances of Microsoft Project

Is it just me or is it not possible to open 2 instances of Microsoft Project
at the same time? For example in Excel I can have 2 spreadsheets open on 2
different screens at the same time. But with Project both project files have
to open in the same instance (active window) of Microsoft Project.

I want 2 instances because I want to compare one project file to another.
Is this possible?

TIA

Hi,

In 2003, there is an add-in comparing 2 projects (Compare Project Versions
toolbar)
Or, you can arrange the two projects in one window "Arrange All"
But no, you cannot have 2 instances open, sorry :-(

You can't have multiple instances of Project running but you can have
multiple files open in the one instance that is running. Each file opens in
its own window and you can tile them side by side or one over the other with
the menu item Window, Arrange All. Won't that work to compare them?
