Open a different version of Publisher

I have several files that I made on publisher 98, I now
have publisher 2000 on a new computer and when I try to
open up the file from disk it say that publisher cannot
open files from a different version.
Is there any other way to open the file with out using
publisher 98 as I no longer have that version.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have Norton it maybe preventing your opening the 98 files. Disable "script
blocking", also in Norton Options, you can disable Office Plug-ins. I've never had to
disable the Plug-ins, however some folks had to disable both these functions.

Mary: I tried both your suggestions as I have the same problem, and neither

Are you trying to open 98 files in a newer version of Publisher? What version of
Publisher do you have? Are you getting an error other than Publisher can't open from
a different version?
Do you have any other anti-virus software? Disable your anti-virus altogether and try
to open the files.
Some things you can try. In Publisher, view, pictures, tick hide pictures. Disable
your printer before opening Publisher. Try to open the files in safe mode.
