open up files sent to my 2007 mcs

shu i uninstalled msc 2003 (out dated) and just have microsoft 2007 version,
then do you think my files will open i get"the command cannot be performed
because a dialoged box is open click ok, i click ok , just sAY perparing
to install: nothing hapen just go away

msc 2003? MSC is an industrial supply company I occasionally order supplies
from but I doubt that's what you mean.
