Open word document using "open with" Powerpoint

If I open a word document with powerpoint I would like powerpoint to use a
basic format of (one text box) to open the document.

Explanation: I'm opening a word document from my folder usint powerpoint to
open it with. When it opens I get several slides which is fine, I want that,
but I also get slides with two text boxes and I dont want two text boxes in
each slide just one text box. How do I set a defalt or what selection do I
need to select to get rid of the extra text box. The second text box has
nothing in it just an empty box. I suppose its something to do with the
slide master but havent been able to figure that out yet.

If you set up the word document with styles you can then send to Powerpoint
and it will create the appropriate slides. For the title of a slide select
the Style Heading 1. For bullets select the Style Heading 2, sub bullets will
be Heading 3 etc. When the word file is prepared like this you just select
File and Send to Powerpoint. Try this method and see if it solves your
problem. It certainly is much more predictable. Note that anything that has
the Normal style will not be imported into Powerpoint.

This works however it also works if i set the text to heading level 2. When
power point opens the document it opens it and each slide has two text boxes
and depending on which heading level I use puts the text in the appropiate
text box. I want to have powerpoint open the document and only have one text
box on each slide. Do you know how to do that?
