Opening a Word Document in My Documents

I used to be able to open a WORD document in My Documents by simply
double-clicking. Now when I do so I get a error "the ommand cannot be
performed becasue a dialog box is open. Click OK and then close open dialog
boxes to continue." I click OK and then I get another dialog box: "Word
experienced an error trying to open the file..." AFTER which I hit OK and
then the file opens...

This is a new problem. Everythbing worked fine a few days ago. I am
baffled.

Do you have Fast User Switching? Could there be a dialog box open to
another user? Doesn't quite sound like it, but it is something to
check.

Hi, Bill. Disable the Office Plugin that comes with Symantec/Norton
