Opening an attachment without saving

Brian

When trying to open a pdf file attachment the system will
only allow the file to be saved. I can open nearly every
other type attachment without saving but cannot open pdf.
It is only I this system. If I forward the email to
another computer I can open it fine.

Do you get an error message? What version of Outlook?

No error message at all. Outlook 2002. Its like when you
download a file from the web and you get open or save as.
This computer only lets you save as when you click on a
pdf file.

Most likely the file-type pdf is added to the LevelOneRemove registry key.
Since a pdf-file is a save attachment there is no need to add it to that
key. You can find the registry key here;
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Security]
