Opening Attachments in Outlook 2000

A recent user of mine complained about opening emails with
attachments included while on the road, dialing in over a
modem line. He wanted to know if there was any way to
just receive the text from the message without having to
download the attachments once the email is opened....any
suggestions? thanks!
