Opening document in Word

In my Word 2003 Program, when I go up and hit File, then open, it goes to my
(my documents) folder and I would like it to go directly to another file
which now takes me about 10 steps. I want to cut off nine of these
steps...can anyone help?

If it's a recently used file, you should be able to select the file from
the Most Recently Used file list at the bottom of the File menu. If you
prefer that Word always look in a certain folder other than My Documents
when you click on File | Open, you can change this setting in Word by
clicking on Tools | Options | File Locations, and modify the location of
Documents.
