Opening outlook file

My system died and I had to reload windows and
office/outlook.

I am trying to open my old outlook file but when I select
it none of the old emails, contacts are there. I am
opening with file open. What am I doing wrong?

Do a search for *.pst
Open outlook, choose File--Open--Personal Folders/Outlook Data File.

Select the .pst file/s you find.
Hopefully one of them is your old mail store.
