opening ppt files on different computers

PPT files I create on either my desktop or laptop don't seem to open on the
other even though they are using the same PPT program. Only some slides open
and others are blank. If I email to others, they have the same problem. One
person I know has no problem opening files and if she then saves it without
doing anything it then works fine on all the other computers thereafter. What
can I do to eliminate this problem?

What version of PowerPoint are you using? If it's PowerPoint 2003, have you
applied Service Pack 1? Open PowerPoint and go to Help > Check for Updates and
if it hasn't been applied, follow the links to apply it.
