opening word and excel takes forever

I recently downloaded all of the servicepacks for MS OFFICE 2000. All was
running okay before the download but now it takes an eternity to open or save
a file in either Word or Excel (also affecting a stand alone accounting
program). They eventually will open, but it takes way too long.

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it. See
