Oracle Tables

Michael

I am attempting to connect to Oracle tables using
Frontpage 2000 through an ODBC connection. I can set up
the database connection fine but when I ask it to show me
the available tables the drop-down list only shows me a
few of the available tables but not the ones I need. Is
there a limit in this list or something? I tried to use a
query statement but it then tells me that the table or
view I am looking for does not exist. Any ideas?

Thanks!!

As far as I know, there's no such limit.

Try setting up the database connection this way:

1. Choose Web Settings from the Tools menu.
2. Click the database tab.
3. Click Add.
4. Specify a name for the new connection.
5. Select Network Connection To Database Server, and
then click Browse.
6. For Type Of Database Driver, specify Microsoft ODBC
For Oracle.
7. In the Server Name box, enter the name of your Oracle
host.
8. Click OK.
9. Click the Advanced button, then specify the necessary
Oracle username and password.
10. Click OK and OK.
11. Select the new database connection and click Verify.
If you fail to get a green check mark, recheck your
settings.
12. Click Apply and OK.
