Order of Tasks In PWA Timesheet View

Is there a way to create a PWA task timesheet view that lists the
tasks in the same order they appear in the project plan file? It
appears my only order options are derived from the column headings
(alphabetical, start date, etc.). I want to see the tasks in the same
order they would appear if someone was looking at the project plan in
Project Professional.

Thanks!

Hi Andy, you are correct in your assumption re your options for the task
timesheet. You can of course sort project tasks any which way you like, so
do you mean you'd like people to see the tasks by task ID, which is the
default sort in Project Pro.

Also, which version of project?

Hi Ben,

I am using Project Pro 2003 with Project Server 2003. You got it ---
I want to see the tasks listed by Task ID. I went to views and added
this column, now everything is perfect.

Thanks!

I'm having the same problem with Project Server 2007 and Project Pro
2007. It sorts by Task ID in Pro but some other sort order in Project
Server 2007 even though I've clicked the ID column heading and it
shows the little arrow. This only occurs in one of our projects...the
rest are fine.

Hi Andy,

I am fairly new to Project and have the same question as you. How do you add a view and column? I would greatly appreciate any help!

Thank you!
