Out look is auto deleting my emails

Everytime I open a mail to read it then close it, my email is no longer in
my inbox. Or any folder for that matter. Did I turn some setting on to
automatically remove/move my emails after I read them?

Check your view. View, Current View and make sure you're not set to unread
messages.
