Outbound Mail Issue

When clicking send/receive in MS Outlook 2003 I see an indicator 'sending 1
of 24'. I had no mail to send. How can I troubleshoot what mail is trying
to be sent.?

unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Maurice asked:
