Outline Level Issues

Hi All,

I have a very large project plan that is 9 outline levels deep.. Has anyone
experienced any issues with that many nests? I am having some difficulties
with calcuations and I am not sure if this is the cause or if anyone has had
any issues.

The only known issue is with Project 2003 where you can't outdent again.
That problem is fixed by SR1. No issues re calculations that I know of.
Provided there are no circular relationship errors on the status bar and you
have calculation set to automatic, all totals should be correct.

What problem are you experiencing?

I once had a problem with a project calculating. It turned out I had made a
logic tie to one of my summary task. Removed the tie and it was fixed.

Hi Rod, I had put this question in a different posting but I am not sure
that project is not calculating it correctly. I may not understand why MSP
is calculating it this way...

I am also having trouble trying to understand why project is doind the
follwoing which I think is related to my gantt chart troubles..

**Summary Task1 is the overall summary. Summary 1A - 1D are summary tasks
under Summary Task 1.. What I am not understanding is why would the
Summary Task 1A have a higher Actual Duration then Summary Task 1 when
Summary Task 1 is the "parent"?
