Outlook 2000 e-mail sent file

Outlook does not save a copy of my e-mail's sent in the sent file. I have the box checked to save a copy. This did work in the past, but may have been hit with a bug. I have reloaded and downloaded Outlook thinking that would correct the problem, but it didn't. Any suggestions out there?
