Outlook 2000 Premium with SR-1 Will Not Open

Outlook 200 Premium will not open. The message says I
need to connect to my Exchange server and synchronize my
dial-up connection before I can use it offline.

All I want to do is use Outlook for maintraining my
contacts and calendar on this PC. I have a home network
with two computers using Microsoft XP Professional and
broadband access using Windows explorer. We use AOL for
email as you can see.

How can I force Outlook to open and what must I do to
work around the silly message...which is no help.

It would appear youve set up outlook in Exchange Mode, You would seem to
require Internet Mode
