I was in the middle of updating my virus protection. When
I was finished my Personal Folder was corrupted. I given
this error, "Unable to expand the folder. The set of
folders could not be opened. Errors have been detected in
the file C:\Documents and Settings\hcowart\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst.
Quit all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox
Repair Tool."
I have tried using the repair tool and get a error in
completeing the file. I am at a loss. Please help with
any advice!!

try using the Inbox repair tool several times. It would have been better,
(hindsight!) to use the Inbox Repair Tool on a COPY of the pst......

The Inbox Repair Tool automatically creates a backup of the original in the
same folder
