Outlook 2000 .pst File when fresh installing Office 2000 Pro?

Recognizing that this is a question that I asked in reply to a previous reply

What happens to an Outlook .pst file when I uninstall Office 2000 Pro, and
then reinstall it? I have the .pst as a backup AND as "the usual" location.

Will I corrupt or damage the file in any way and can I access it easily?

Thank you,

Nothing *should* happen to it. It won't be erased as part of the uninstall
if that is what you mean. But, as you have already done, it's wise to copy
it elsewhere just in case.

An uninstall/reinstall of OL does nothing to the data file (pst)
But then also this process, very often, does not cure a problem with OL
