Outlook 2000 SR-1 Email

I want to add an address for Outlook to check, within Outlook (but not by
creating a new user account in the Control Panel). How do I do this? I am
not finding the "accounts" button.

If I cannot do this, then how to I change from Outlook checking one email
account, to a different one?

Is OL 2000 installed in IMO or CW mode? Help>About will tell you.

I am not finding what you are asking for. This is what it says in Help ---->
About:
Microsoft 2000 SR1 - (9.0.0.3821)
Copyright 1995-1999
It then reads a series of copyright information, and then shows that I am
the licensed user of the product.

The security button reads: Outlook - Cipher Strength - 40 bits
Portions based on Enbtrust Security Technology
Internet Explorer - cipher Strength - 128 bits

I don't think any of that helps you, but it is what I found so far.

Another way to tell: If you have a "Services" item on your Tools menu, you
are in Corporate/Workgroup (CW) mode. If you have "Accounts" instead, you
are in Internet Mail Only (IMO) mode.

Ah - that helps tremendously.

I have a "Services" item, which I suppose means I am in a
corporate/workgroup mode.

How do I change this so that I can have Outlook accept mail from multiple
addresses?

I have Outlook 2000 in CW mode installed on a laptop at home. You don't
have to change anything. You just need to add the second account. In
Outlook, click Tools>Services>Add. Select "Internet E-mail" and click OK.
Define the account settngs.

You might also want to read the following article to learn about the
differences between the two modes and how C/W mode affects multiple accounts:
