I'm running Outlook 2000 using Windows 98 SE, and Explorer

When I try to delete messages from the Deleted Message
folder I get an "Illegal Operation" message.
Is there a way to open the pst file (using a separate
program) and manually delete these messages?
If not what can cause the "Illegal Operation" message?
