I have been happily using Outlook 2002 at work for many months with no
problems, but today it just wouldn't open.
When I removed all services/email accounts it works fine, and I can get to
my calendar/tasks/contacts/old emails in my pst file without a problem. But
as soon as I use Outlook itself or the "Outlook Profiles" in Control Panel
to add a new mail service, it crashes. I get to the settings screen (where
you enter pop3 and smtp info) fine, but as soon as I click "next" it freezes
and crashes Outlook. There is either no error message, or it says it caused
a problem with rundll.exe, but I haven't found this error (or error message)
anywhere online.
I deleted all old profiles and created a brand new pst file, but no change.
I even uninstalled all of Office and reinstalled/reupdated everything,
cleaned the registry, ran scandisk/defrag, and then recreated a new pst file
and ran inbox repair tool on it, but still no luck...
I can't do my job without Outlook, please help!
