Outlook 2002 - PST file

I've got a problem with an user under Outlook 2000.
His mailbox.pst file is over 2Go and now he can't open it.
It's locked.

I would like to know what's the limitation for a pst file
and what is the method to unlock a file of which size is
over the limitation ?
