Hello,
I have a question regarding client side vs. server side
rules using Outlook 2002 in combination with Exchange
Server 2000.
I have both a POP account and an Exchange Server account
configured under the same profile on my laptop. The
Exchange Server account is only accessible when I'm at
work. Therefore I want to keep my message rules client
side so they will work when I'm at home and only using
the POP account.
However, after I added the Exchange account some of my
rules stopped functioning. (I had the POP account
configured and working for a long time before I added the
exchange account.) When Outlook asked me if I want to
keep the client side or server side rules I chose client
side. So why is it still trying to access the Exchange
server when I create rules?
I guess the real question is: how do I configure Outlook
to use both Exchange and POP when I'm at work and only
POP when I'm at home?
Any pointers or comments would be greatly appreciated as
the documentation seems to be of no help so far.
Thanks,
Balazs
