Outlook 2002 suddenly won't save connection details

Suddenly Outlook 2002 won't keep the dial-up connection details (I have four
dial-ups - one of which is default) - I have to re-set it every time.
Any fix?

Dial up connection details are not stored in Outlook. Only the connection
type is.
Please provide more details on what has changed.

In the "Connection" tab of Account properties, the box under Modem - Use the
following Dial-up Connection doesn't save the connection name. Every time I
start Outlook, this box is blank and I have to re-enter the connection name.

But what connection type are you specifying?
Can you provide any more clues as to what changed besides "suddenly...?" We
have no reports of Outlook failing to maintain its settings for no reason.

Interestingly I've fixed it - (or so it seems) - I entered the setting in
Control Panel-Mail instead of within Outlook -and that seems to have fixed
it so far....

I have the same problem. In the connections box Outlook will not retain the setting 'Connect using my phone line'. Each time Outlook is restarted it reverts to 'Connect using my LAN'. I have now tried the Control Panel approach and will see if that works.
