Hi, guys,

My Outlook 2003 can receive email but can not send out
email. They are always in the outbox. But if I set my
account at another computer, everything is find.

Any idea?

Thanks a million

This may be a stretch, but it happened to me when sending
via SMTP. The actual issue you're experiencing may be
quite different, but I can't address everything at once.

My Problem:

I was able to receive mail, but unable to send mail, and
the outgoing mail remained in the outbox.

My issue was actually caused by a bad NIC (Yes, it sounds
very weird). Try this - from the machine that is having
problems sending email to your Exchange Server/Mail
Server, which is running the SMTP service, go to a command
prompt and attempt to Telnet to the server on port 25.

Example: (from the command prompt) Telnet
yourmailserversIPAddress 25

If you see just a black screen after using the Telnet
command, try typing, "HELO" (without the quotes), in
attempt to have your mail server respond.

If you're unable to connect then the issue could be your
NIC or IP related.

What sort of mail account do you have? Do you get any error messages? If
so, what are they?
