I installed a new hard drive and XP pro and office 2003
in my laptop.
Now I want to transfer just my outlook settings.
I found the .pst files but cannot find the files that
contain my e-mail account settings.
Anyone understand why you cant export them like in 2000.

Better yet where are they kept in 2003?

thanks
JIM

Your e-mail profile is stored in the registry (for all versions of Outlook).
I don't know exporting/importing will work. Anyway the regkey is;
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Outlook]

There is a "Save your setting wizard" in the Microsoft Office Tools folder
in your startmenu. This will save all your Office settings in an OPS file.
An OPS-file can be edited by installing the Office Resource Kit. For more
info on the wizard see http://support.microsoft.com/?id=298059. This article
covers the XP-wizard but it gives a good impression anyway.

I hope this answerd your question.
