recently had to reinstall Office 2003 after computer crash. Able to import
from pst file. Had utilitzed signatures to convey different messages at
bottom of my e-mails and they are now gone - how I can import them?

Firstly, for future reference, do not use the import/export function to move
data from Outlook to Outlook. Why?

Importing an entire PST may well corrupt your profile and may create a ghost
PST that you can't close. Importing PST's will lose:
1. Custom Forms
2. Custom Views
3. Connections between contacts and activities
4. Received dates on mail
5. Birthdays and anniversaries in calendar
6. Journal connections
7. Distribution Lists

Opening a PST file will preserve all of these. That is why we do not advise
people to import a native file into Outlook.

Secondly, I believe that the signatures are not held in the pst file, but in
the Outlook Profile, so there as you have re-installed, they are not there
(AFAIK) and you will have to re-create them. When you have, use the "Save My
Settings" wizard in Start-All Programs-Microsoft Office-Microsoft Office
Tools in order to make a back-up of them...

Thanks for this info - Quite honestly I am not sure whether I imported or
opened the old file. I still have the old file so I will look at the settings
you mentioned
