Outlook 2003 stops responding

I upgrade outlook 2000 to outlook 2003 when I joined a
computer to a domain running Small Business Sever 2003,
and when I tried to open Outlook after that the program
hangs. I tired to uninstall the program and reinstall
outlook 2000 but the program still has issues. I really
need to some of the information that the old outlook has
in it. Can someone help me with this problem..
