Outlook 2003 upgrade overwrites data file without warning?

Tom

I just upgraded to Outlook 2003 and seemed to have lost
all my previous mail folders I had saved. There was no
warning or message saying that the mail data file was to
be overwritten. I assumed the upgrade would never delete
or over write the previously existing data file from a
previous version, at least not without a message asking
the user if he really wants to do it. Is my previous
mail lost? I can't find another pst file other than the
new empty one just created.

I've never seen an upgrade do this before.

It didn't. It just created a new one. Search for and open your old one.
Don't forget to search for hidden files to find it.
