Outlook 2007 will not display email addresses!

I can't imagine I'm the only one with this problem, yet I'm unable to
find any information about this problem in any newsgroup, web forum,
web page, etc...

I just upgraded from Outlook Express to Outlook 2007. In an email
message in Outlook 2007, if I double click on the name of the sender
(or the receipient) nothing happens!!!! In Outlook Express, I would
get a nice little window showing me their email address.

How else can I find out the email address of a person? All I can see
is their first/last name.

Outlook is not an "upgrade" to Outlook Express. These two programs have
nothing in common. I light of that reality, explain more clearly what you
thought should have occurred that didn't.

Good point. I didn't actually "upgrade" from Outlook Express. If
anything, I might have DOWNGRADED to Outlook 2007. This thing is
ssssllllloooooowwwww.

Anyway, my actual problem is that I can't see email addresses of
people in my messages. All I can see is the display name (to or from)
like "Joe Smith" and I can't see any information about what their
email address is. In Outlook Express, I was able to double click on
their name and I could see their email address.

How can I do this in Outlook 2007?

Hello Stacieglass,

You mentioned that even though you double-click on the name of the sender
or recipient of an email message in Outlook 2007, you do not see their
email address.

I'm still using Outlook 2003, but anyway: what happens when you
"right-click" the address? For me, it brings up a menu that includes an
"Outlook Properties" (sic) item. - Additionally, I have the View > Options
Internet headers window.

I hope this was of some help to you.

You have not yet posed a question. We have no idea to which view you are
referring, or what "people in my messages" might mean. Tell us. When you do,
tell us how you populated a Contact database that might permit what you want
to occur.

Verify that you have the Outlook Address Book Service installed and
activated in your profile.

thanks for all your help, but i've decided to uninstall outlook 2007
and go back to 2003. this email address display problem was a minor
problem compared to the AMAZINGLY SLOW speed of the 2007 program. i'm
still in shock that microsoft actually released a program that takes
2+ minutes to download 1 message that is 1kB in size! hopefully a
service pack will be released soon and i'll give it another whirl...

Go back to Outlook 2003? You never said you were using Outlook 2003. You
very likely could have fixed your problems by creating a new Outlook
profile. No service pack is due any time soon.
