Outlook address by first name

Don S.

Hi

I just installed Office 2007 with Outlook. I then migrated my email via
Outlook Connector from Outlook Express to Outlook.

Migration has taken a long time, but for the most part it works. The name
features are overwhelming.

Two issues:

1. When completing an email and selecting a recipient (To:), the list of
Contacts is by First Name/Last name. How does one convert to Last
Name/First Name.
Note that in the Contact list, the listing is by last name/first name.

2. News Groups -- in OE I have a listing of MSNews items, including this
group. I created a News item, following the instructions, but now when I
click on News, it opens OE and shows the News Groups as I had it in OE. How
can I bring the News Groups to Outlook, and not to have OE resident on my
PC.

Thanks

Don S.

No you didn't. Outlook Express and Outlook are completely different
programs. Outlook Connector does not transfer data from one to another. You
would use Outlook's Import Wizard for that. Outlook is not a newsreader and
never will be.

Hi
Thanks Russ.
When I did the Connector bit, Outlook had the address/contacts list. Maybe
it came from my old Outlook.
The question is, how do I change the display to show names by last name when
I choose addresses from the TO: list.

Thanks

Don S

Outlook Connector would have pulled from your HTTP mail account, not Outlook
Express.
How to sort the Outlook Address Book is documented here daily:
Go to Tools > Account Settings > Address Book Tab > Outlook Address Book >
Change... > Set sort order there

Do not multipost.
