Outlook Artifacts on my desktop

Just updated Office 2002 and now have artifacts from the "Find" toolbar on
my desktop after I close Outlook.

What happens if you delete them?

They are not......er, "clickable"? Right click brings up desktop window
as if they were not there.

Try reducing your graphics adapter's hardware acceleration setting in
Start | Control Panel | Display | Settings | Advanced | Troubleshoot.

Did not have any effect. When I open and minimize other programs the Desktop
clears to normal. Annoying!

Update the display driver, get a newer version from the video card
manufacturers website.

I have a similar question re: "artifacts" -- sometimes when sending an
e-mail with an attachment, after clicking "send", the message is actually
sent (saved in Sent Items folder), but the message window remains on the
screen. Sometimes, using the "x" will close the window, and sometimes
Outlook will hang. Do you think this could possibly be fixed by updating the
display driver or reducing the graphics adapter's hardware acceleration
setting? Or something else? Thanks so much for any info you can provide.
