Outlook deleting email

Any idea why in Outlook 2000 R-1 when a person opens a
new email and then goes back after reading the message
that email has automatically been deleted? I can't find
anywhere in the settings that this person has told
Outlook to automatically delete emails after they have
been read. Thanks for any help.

Check your view settings. It might be set to only display unread items.

It may be that his VIEW is set to Unread Messages. The messages normal
deletion path is through the Deleted Items folder: do you see them there?

Thanks. I will check that on Monday. Why do people mess
with stuff when they don't know what the he__ they are
doing? That is a rhetorical question.

I'm acutally having the same issue as the original post but it is not
specific to the user's Outlook. As a domain admin, I can open the
user's Exchange profile in my own Outlook and am experiencing the same
problem.
I send the user a test email from my own profile, open her Inbox, see
the email from myself, read the email and as soon as I close her
message from me it is deleted.
Any ideas how to fix this?
