Outlook Express & XP

I have OE 6 for XP and it is always asking for my password when checking
for mail when I open the OE program. I checked the box to rember password.
What could be wrong? When I enter the password everything is fine for that
session.

Go to where you checked the box to remember password and in there retype
your password. It sounds like the password your having it remember it not
correct.
