Outlook freezes after clicking on e-mail

We have a user who just started having a problem with
Outlook 2002. They click on an e-mail and then go to
click on another e-mail and Outlook freezes. She just
gets the hourglass and parts of the screen goes black.
Any ideas as to what is happening and how do we fix it?
